Why We Built This
If you've ever tried to research SaaS software, you've probably landed on G2, Capterra, or one of their clones. What you may not know is that many of those platforms operate on a pay-to-rank model — vendors pay for premium placement, badge programs, and boosted visibility. The result? The tools at the top of the list aren't necessarily the best ones. They're the ones with the biggest marketing budgets.
SaasReviews HQ was built to fix that. Our rankings, scores, and editorial positions are determined entirely by our methodology — not by who's paying us. Period.
Our Editorial Independence Guarantee
We are uncompromising on one thing: money cannot buy editorial favor here. Specifically:
- No pay-to-rank — vendors cannot pay to appear higher in our rankings or category lists
- No bought reviews — review scores are based solely on our structured evaluation methodology
- No sponsored scores — a commercial relationship with us has zero effect on a product's rating
- No hidden influence — if a product is featured or highlighted, it's because our editors chose it on merit
Our honest take is not for sale. No vendor, investor, or advertiser can change what we write about their product.
A note on paid placements
Some buttons and CTAs on product pages — such as "Book a Demo" or "Get a Quote" — are paid placements by the vendor. These are clearly commercial in nature and help us keep the lights on. They have absolutely no bearing on the product's review score, ranking position, or editorial coverage. Think of them like a banner ad, not an endorsement.

We cover every major SaaS category — from the obvious ones like CRM and project management to niche verticals most review sites ignore. If it's software-as-a-service, we cover it.

How We Review
Every review on SaasReviews HQ follows a consistent, structured methodology:
- Hands-on testing — we use the product, not just the marketing site
- Structured scoring — features, ease of use, value, support, and integrations
- Transparent disclosures — any commercial relationship is disclosed clearly
- Regular updates — reviews are revisited when products change significantly
- Community input — verified user comments and ratings inform our assessments
How We Make Money
SaasReviews HQ is supported by advertising, sponsored CTA placements (like "Book a Demo" buttons), and select partnerships. Vendors can pay to place commercial calls-to-action on their product pages. What they cannot do is pay to influence their review score, their ranking position, or anything our editors write. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews — ever.
The Community
Beyond reviews, SaasReviews HQ is home to the Founder Council — a curated network of SaaS founders sharing knowledge — and Women in SaaS, a community supporting women building and buying software. We also host SaaS events and publish original articles and guides.
